January 2008 Dear Friends of Worship on the Way, Pastor Jack Hayford (heard weekdays at 7 a.m. PT) has added some verses to the traditional song of Christmastime greeting, "We Wish You a Merry Christmas." I want to share one verse with you as a special blessing and prayer for you at this start of a new year: May God’s love surround you, His peace dwell within you, That really is our prayer for you, as we express our deep gratitude to all who have so faithfully provided This new year, we begin with a new outreach to the southern suburbs of Chicago, with the re-launching of a small station, licensed to Monee, Illinois. Our new call letters are WOTW and stand for Worship On The Way. This term will become the new slogan for our “network” of two stations (KTLW and WOTW) and one dozen FM translators in seven states! Both KTLW and WOTW broadcast on 88.9 FM. This new slogan, Worship On The Way, finds meaningful biblical bases. Recently I was reading in Psalm 96 and found verses 2 and 3 to relate to our radio ministry: …Sing to the Lord, praise His name; proclaim His salvation day after day. Whether you listen on one of our broadcast stations, one of our FM translator stations, or via our live The early believers were originally called “followers of the Way” (Acts 24:14-16), being those who worshipped Jesus, who said He was “the Way, the Truth, and the Life” (John 14: 6). This “worship” is available to you “on the way,” as you drive to work, as you prepare for spiritual service at your church, or as you become better equipped for all that God has intended for you! Your partnership in funding this Worship On The Way is genuinely needed. Would you consider making a commitment to give generously each month during 2008? If we could have just 30 (or more) faithful listeners giving $30 or more each month—in each area served by our broadcast ministries—we would be able to cover our expenses (each day, on the way) and begin to prepare for God’s next “open door” of outreach. Will you ask the Lord Jesus if you are to be one of those faithful listeners in your area? Thank you! Looking forward to sharing 2008 with you, Gary Curtis |
