October 2008 Dear friends of Worship On The Way Network, Fall is here! That’s the happy statement on the front of this mailing piece and the exciting reality for all who love these awesome days of autumn! Whether it is the weather or the special foods and events we enjoy in this season, fall is a special time of the year! We try to reflect the changes in the seasons on our website, as well. Check out our new “fall look” when you visit us at www.WorshipOnTheWay.net. When you click the “About Us” link, in the dropdown feature under the KTLW tab, you will learn that our “network” of FM stations and translators broadcasts worship music and ministry features 24 hours a day, to help you “Worship On The Way.” The early believers were originally called “followers of the Way” (Acts 24:14-16), being those who worshipped Jesus, who said He is “the Way, the Truth, and the Life” (John 14: 6). This “worship” and ministry is available to you “on the way,” as you drive to work, as you prepare for spiritual service at your church, or as you become better equipped for all that God has intended for you! Your faithful giving, especially in these fall months, will enable us to continue with the media ministries God has set before us, as well as to follow His leading as we respond to new opportunities and expanded responsibilities. I know these are economically challenging times. But challenging times make more people open to the truth and reality of God’s Kingdom. We need to be there with music and ministries that will build believers up, so the enemy can’t wear them down! One of the wearisome areas in the lives of discerning believers, right now, is the public battle for the sanctity of marriage. In just a matter of weeks, voters in Arizona, California, and Florida will have the chance to placemarriage out of the reach of activists and liberals. They will decide whether to join the majority of other states (currently twenty-six) which already have constitutional protection for traditional marriage—the first institution established by God. California voters can learn more at: They need your prayers and support in these final weeks. But, values-minded voters cannot stop with seeking to protect marriage for the next generation. We need to prayerfully support all candidates who are seriously speaking out for faith, family and freedom in America. Only by our prayers and united actions can we stop those who want to:
In difficult times, such as these, we need to be reminded that God is in control. Nowhere is this taught better than in the Biblical account of Joseph—slave at age 17 and king at 30! Author Steve Farrar, in a fresh and engaging way, uses this true story of Joseph to focus on personal integrity and God’s sovereignty—in his latest book, God Built. This book is the basis of a radio special which we will air later this month: Saturday, October 25 at 11:30 a.m. and Sunday, October 26 at 1:00 p.m. (PDT).It will challenge us to make a difference in our families, churches, and communities. Plan to listen to the God Built radio special and learn how to be “forged by God—in the bad and good of life!” Believing for God’s best for you!
