Arafat’s Death

Exactly ten years after he received the Nobel Peace Prize, Yasser Arafat has finally died--without bringing lasting peace to his destitute people.

Arafat and his PLO introduced airline hijackings and “suicide” bombings as political tools. The deaths of thousands of Israeli Jews, hundreds of Europeans and Americans, and countless Arabs, are on his head.

Indeed, Yasser Arafat was widely seen by Israelis as a virtual reincarnation of the biblical Haman, who attempted to wipe out the entire Jewish race. 

It is alarming that the new interim Palestinian leader, Rawhi Fattouh, has already repeated Arafat’s threat to “plant the Palestinian flag over every mosque, church and on all the walls of sacred Jerusalem.”

In the face of these explosive situations, Christians must pray:

• Pray for the “Peace of Jerusalem.”
• Pray for Arab Christians and Messianic Jewish believers.
• Pray for the return of The Prince of Peace, who is Jesus—God’s Son, the Jewish Messiah, and Savior of the World.
