“Father in Heaven, we pause to intercede for all those working to stabilize the country of Iraq and provide for free elections. Please grant them wisdom, courage, and protection as they seek to enhance the well being of all Iraqi people. 

Have mercy and give protection to our troops, for all support and civilian personnel, and Iraqi citizens who are being attacked and ambushed by those seeking to disrupt the elections and destroy coalition efforts towards stabilizing the country.

Give continued success in capturing terrorists, seizing weapons, hiring police and forming an Iraqi army. May Iraq’s oil industry be restored and protected as it begins to benefit the Iraqi people.

Help the Iraqis adapt to and embrace a democratic country that will provide freedom of religion and the opportunity for many to come to know Jesus as Messiah and Lord.  May tyranny be destroyed and true freedom and liberty rein in all the land. Amen.”
